Experience an evening of classical sacred music featuring Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Credo Mass in C Major and Joseph Haydn’s Mass in B flat major.
Performed by the choir and accompanied by The Sevenoaks Philharmonic Orchestra and four soloists, this programme brings together two distinct works of Austrian sacred repertoire: Mozart’s direct, energetic setting from his 1776 Salzburg period, and Haydn’s late 1799 work written for the Esterházy court.
The programme highlights the contrast between Mozart’s concise, motif-driven Credo and Haydn’s symphonic orchestrations and fugal movements.
This auditorium seats 410, with a stage big enough for an 80-piece orchestra. There is raked choir seating to suit a choir of up to 100. It is also equipped with AV and a drop-down screen, perfect for film viewing and lectures.
