About us

Welcome

supporting the arts
in sevenoaks

Our mission is to cultivate exceptional cultural experiences in our award-winning complex. Beautifully situated on the leafy campus of Sevenoaks School, The Space has been a home for extraordinary artists since 2010.

70

events are hosted in The Space ranging from concerts, plays, live screenings and exhibitions to talks and lectures.

Be Entertained

The Space is a cinema venue for National Theatre Live and Royal Ballet & Opera screenings. It truly is the next best thing to watching a performance live in London. Whether you’re watching sparks fly between Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan in Skylight, or chuckling at Bryn Terfel’s antics as the genial wheeler dealer in L’Elisir d’Amore, you’ll be at the heart of the action.

National Theatre Live

If you enjoy serious drama, romcoms or sold-out award-winning hits, The Space brings you unmissable theatre, filmed live from Britain’s most exciting stages and optimised for the big screen. The actors deliver their performances as they normally would any other night.

Music and Drama at Sevenoaks

Sevenoaks School has a long and proud tradition of music making, dating back to the 1500s. Today, our students compete and are regular finalists in the annual Pro Corda chamber music competition.

The Drama department is a major contributor to the co-curricular life of the school, through the elaborate productions mounted each year in the Sackville Theatre and Ordovsky-Tanaevsky Drama Studio by the Sevenoaks School Theatre Company (SSTC).

The high calibre of school productions undertaken by talented musicians and actors, some of whom perform at national level, is remarkable. We encourage you to see for yourself.
